Cyber Security Education for CEOs, Directors and Board Members

Cyber security is no longer something you can delegate entirely to your IT team. Boards and senior leaders are increasingly expected to understand cyber risk, make informed decisions about it, and take responsibility for governance when things go wrong.

Cyber Executive Education is a specialist programme designed to give senior leaders exactly that understanding, without turning them into technical experts.

What the Programme Covers

This programme approaches cyber security from a governance and risk perspective, not a technical one. It’s built around the questions that senior leaders actually face: what is our exposure, who is accountable, what do we do when something goes wrong, and are we meeting our legal obligations?

Sessions cover cyber risk management for executives, strategic decision making under cyber risk conditions, building a security aware culture across the organisation, and understanding the legal and regulatory responsibilities that now sit at board level.

The format combines expert led input, interactive discussion, and real world case studies drawn from actual cyber incidents affecting organisations at board level.

Why Leadership Needs to Own Cyber Risk

Many organisations still treat cyber security as a purely technical function. The result is that when something goes wrong, leadership teams are unprepared, response is slower than it should be, and the governance failures that follow often cause as much damage as the incident itself.

Regulators and insurers are increasingly aware of this. The expectation that boards understand and actively oversee cyber risk is growing across most sectors, and that expectation is being written into frameworks, contracts, and compliance requirements.

This programme helps leadership teams get ahead of that rather than scramble to catch up.

What You Will Be Able to Do

By the end of the programme, attendees will have a clear understanding of why cyber security is a leadership responsibility, not just an IT one. They will be able to identify where accountability sits across their organisation, recognise the role that culture and governance play in reducing risk, understand their legal and regulatory obligations, and interpret incident response frameworks so they know what good looks like when a crisis occurs.

Who Should Attend

This programme is designed for CEOs and Managing Directors, board members and non-executive directors, senior public sector leaders, and trustees and governance professionals. If you sit on a board or lead an organisation and you want to understand cyber risk properly, this programme is for you.
